Pete Crow-Armstrong’s First Career Hit is a BOMB!

0

HOLY SHIT! No better way to get your first MLB home run than by hitting a go-ahead home run at Wrigley Field. Pete Crow-Armstrong made his season debut with the Cubs in Thursday’s series finale against the Houston Astros and he snapped his 0-for-16 streak that dates back to last September in a huge way.

Tied at one in the sixth inning, PCA launched a bomb to the bleachers in right field, giving the Cubs a 3-1 lead.

He was obviously fired up, but you can also bet that he’s feeling much more relieved having gotten his first hit in the big leagues following a frustrating stint in the majors at the end of the 2023 season.

Crow-Armstrong is currently up because the Cubs had to place Cody Bellinger on the injured list. Bellinger has two fractured ribs and the team isn’t quite sure when he will return. In the meantime, PCA will get some starts in center field and the Cubs will need the rookie to step up at times this season.
