Gleyber Torres kept hitting batting practice during the earthquake that shook New York
Yes, that was an earthquake in New York City … and in Philadelphia … and in New Jersey.
And wouldn’t you know that the New York Yankees were taking batting practice ahead of their 2024 home opener in the Bronx on Friday when the ground started shaking.
The wild part is that a camera was on during the earthquake and that Yankees infielder Gleyber Torres was taking batting practice. Torres didn’t appear to feel anything as he kept taking swings, and I couldn’t tell if anyone else around him felt anything, but it’s a pretty wild video to watch.
Here’s what we saw:
Gleyber Torres kept hitting batting practice even in the middle of an earthquake at Yankee Stadium!
