NHL fans were so upset officials stopped a goalie fight between John Gibson and Petr Mrazek
We almost got the rarest of rarities in an NHL game on Tuesday: a goalie fight.
With Chicago Blackhawks players going toe to toe behind the net in the third period of their game, Hawks goalie Petr Mrazek stepped in to join in the fisticuffs … which meant Ducks netminder John Gibson had to do his duty and skate the length of the ice to get involved.
But as Gibson came in to get his hands on Mrazek, officials made him let go and prevented the bout from happening.
Naturally, NHL fans wanted to let them go and complained about it:

It’s seriously like there’s a directive from above that goalie fights are a no because of only have one backup or something. Just let them go if they want to go https://t.co/7pw58FI8jM
