Fighters make weight ahead of title double header in Tokyo
Tomorrow fight fans in Tokyo will see an interesting double title show, with a Japanese title and a Japanese Youth title both on the line.
The main event will see Japanese Minimumweight champion Yuni Takada (13-8-3, 6) [高田勇仁] defending his title against familiar foe Shunsuke Isa (13-5-1, 2) [伊佐春輔], in what will be the 4th bout between the two men. On the scales both men were just under the limit, coming in at 104.7lbs for the bout.
At the weigh in both men looked good on the scales, though it did seem like the champion looked a bit more solid, whilst Isa looked just a touch drained, though it certainly wasn't anything to suggest he had struggled to make the 105lb limit.
The other title bout will see Kai Watanabe (11-1-1, 6) [渡邊 海] clash with Shunpei Ohata (2-0, 1) [大畑 俊平] in a bout for the Japanese Youth Super Featherweight title. On the scales Watanabe was just under the limit, at 129.9lbs, whilst Ohata was marginally lighter at 29.6llbs.
