Walker secured a 6-4 round one victory on the main stage, checking out 78 to take the match.

His wild celebrations caught the eye as he almost ran off the stage before shaking his opponents hand.

The Interceptor then fired a pair of fist pumps towards the crowd as he revelled in his victory.

An alternative angle of the celebrations showed just how close Walker came to leaving the stage.

Fans were quick to notice the teenager’s youthful appearance on social media, with one joking: “How’s he only 17?”

Another added: “Oh, hang on a sec, he actually does look 17.”

A third fan also commented: “He actually looks about 13.”

Walker, who has already hit a nine-darter on the Challenge Tour this year, came through amateur qualifiers to book his place at the UK Open.

The youngster only took up darts aged 13 during lockdown in 2020.

However, there will be no fairytale clash with fellow teen sensation Littler this weekend.

Walker went on to lose 6-3 to Germany’s Tim Wolters in round two.

Meanwhile, Littler will enter the draw later on Friday as he kicks off his campaign in round four, the same stage he reached on debut in 2023.

The Nuke goes into the UK Open fresh off making the semi-finals on night five of the Premier League Darts in Exeter on Thursday.

He beat Michael Smith before losing to Rob Cross to move into second place in the standings.

Littler now sits six points behind leader Michael van Gerwen ahead of night six in Brighton.
