He boasts a £100million empire which includes five-star hotels, restaurants, pubs and Salford City FC.

And his second appearance on Dragons’ Den saw him impress people with his business acumen.

It included him investing in the brand Myo Master owned by married couple Lottie Whyte and Joe Gray – a business specialising in creating high-level sports recovery solutions for athletes.

Ex-England rugby player Gray, who almost had his leg amputated as a teenager after sustaining a rugby-related injury, and partner Whyte were a success as Neville and fellow Dragon Sara Davies split the £100,000 investment.

Reacting to Neville being on the show for a second time, one viewer said: “Whatever you might think about Gary Neville as an ex-pro and pundit, he’s a remarkable guy.

“Impressively thoughtful and sharp on Dragon’s Den. Businesses all over the place, philanthropic. A force of nature.”

Another added: “Thought Gary Neville was very good on Dragons’ Den.”

While a third replied: “Feels weird seeing Gary Neville on Dragons Den but his certainly got some business acquirement and loves investing in sports.”

Meanwhile, others were confused as to why Neville was on the show.

One said: “Since when did Gary Neville become a Dragon on Dragons’ Den?”

A second responded: “I never knew Gary Neville was a new Dragon on Dragons’ Den.”

And another agreed, adding: “What is Gary Neville doing on Dragons’ Den?”

During his first appearance on the programme, Neville fought back tears while making an offer to a Manchester City fan.

He was also dug out by an entrepreneur who took a jibe at his punditry.
