IPL set for March 22 start, says league chairman Arun Dhumal

The Indian Premier League (IPL) will commence on March 22, according to IPL Chairman Arun Dhumal. The tournament will be held entirely in India, despite the upcoming general elections. The schedule for the 17th edition of IPL is yet to be announced due to the elections. Only the schedule for the first 15 days will be released initially, with the rest of the games to be decided later. The final is expected to be held on May 26, just before the T20 World Cup.
