West Ham ‘shortlist three unemployed former Premier League bosses’ as Hammers prepare for life after David Moyes

DAVID MOYES is under mounting pressure at the London Stadium.

The Hammers boss has been unable to lead his team to a single victory in 2024 and fans are beginning to lose their patience.

The 60-year-old had to keep a cool exterior when his side lost 2-0 to Nottingham Forest on Saturday while “Moyes Out” signs were waved in the away end.

And those higher up at the East London club seem to be starting to think about a future without the Scot in charge.

According to the Daily Mail, West Ham have begun sounding out candidates to replace Moyes.

It is said that they are in the early stages of the process and would ideally like Moyes to stay on until the end of the season.

But poor form and increasing pressure could mean an early exit for the former Manchester United boss is not off the table if things continue on the same trajectory.

The Hammers have reportedly identified three former Premier League bosses, all currently without a job, that could come in to replace Moyes.

Former Chelsea and Brighton boss Graham Potter is one candidate while Julen Lopetegui and Steve Cooper have also peaked the interest of those in charge of West Ham.

It’s also claimed there was admiration for Oliver Glasner, but any deal for the Austrian is now off the table after he signed on as the new head coach for Crystal Palace.

Another shock name linked to the job is under-fire Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel.

Execs at the London Stadium are said hold long-term interest in Tuchel, but would struggle to convince him to sign on with the German unlikely to consider a return to London with West Ham.

Moyes will be looking to avoid a fourth consecutive defeat when his side host Brentford on Monday night.

West Ham have conceded 11 goals and failed to score any in their last three Premier League games, including a 6-0 defeat to London rivals Arsenal at home.
