2024 WM Phoenix Open: 6 golfers (including Max Homa!) who shockingly missed the cut
For the second time in three years, Sahith Theegala has found himself in the lead through 36 holes at the WM Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale.
The 26-year-old handled weather delays with ease as he finished his second round on Saturday at 13-under par and one stroke ahead of the rest of the field.
In 2021-22, Theegala found himself in this exact same position only to dramatically miss out on the playoff between Scottie Scheffler and Patrick Cantlay by one stroke after a bogey on No. 17. The California native will have a chance to redeem himself this weekend. And he’ll get to avoid some big names on Tour who missed the cut at two-under on Saturday in Scottsdale.
Here are some of the most surprising players heading home early.
