How much money did Mattress Mack bet on the 2024 Super Bowl?

So of course Houston furniture magnate Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale is going to be a popular name. The Texan is known for dropping huge wagers on championship games including the Super Bowl.

So how much is Mattress Mack putting down on the Chiefs-49ers?

Well, uh, funny story. The answer is $0.

McIngvale told reporters he’ll be sitting out betting on the Super Bowl for a second consecutive year (and after his recent string of losses, it’s hard to blame him).

“The point spread’s too short for me,” McIngvale told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “I’m gonna sit this one out because I can’t lay 100 to win 100.”

If Mack were going to bet on this game, he said he’d take the Chiefs. In fact, he said he was going to hammer Kansas City to win the Super Bowl earlier in the playoffs, but backed off. That’s especially a shame considering Patrick Mahomes warned Mack about fading him when the two met at the 2023 Kentucky Derby.

“I was going to bet $2 million on KC +420 to win it all. Then, like an idiot, I talked myself out of it at the last minute,” McIngvale said. “I should’ve listened to his advice.”
