Super Bowl 58 straight-up picks: Why I'm betting the Niners
Three quarters of our expert panel thinks Super Bowl 58 is where Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid begin a dynasty. I’m not convinced.
That’s left me as the lone holdout predicting San Francisco’s revenge over the Kansas City Chiefs in their rematch of Super Bowl 55.
This may be stupid. Betting against Mahomes, even with a depleted receiving corps, has bitten me in each of the last two rounds of the 2024 NFL Playoffs. I thought the Buffalo Bills would be as good at home against the Chiefs as they’d been in Arrowhead Stadium in the regular season the last two years. Wrong. I thought a Baltimore Ravens team with few glaring flaws would be able to withstand a furious challenge at home. Wrong.
Now I’ve got them losing for the third straight game as an underdog. Stupid? Probably! But I’ve got my reasons — and I’ll explain them below.
Here are our picks for Super Bowl 58.
