Report: 85-Year-Old NFL Stalwart Returning for 46th Season as Coach
It wouldn't be a football season without Tom Moore.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive consultant has had a hand in 45 NFL campaigns, over a dozen college seasons, and even the long-dead World Football League in 1974. Now 85, the Owatonna, Minn., native has been alive for around 80% of the NFL's history.
Amazingly, Moore is reportedly not done yet.
Per a Thursday afternoon report from Fox Sports’ Peter Schrager, Moore will return in 2024 for a 46th NFL coaching season—during which he'll turn 86 years old.
"My favorite tweet every year," Schrager wrote. Moore has worked as an offensive consultant for the Buccaneers since 2019.

Moore played for Iowa from 1958-60, and then began his coaching career with the Hawkeyes as a graduate assistant. He spent time with five other colleges and the WFL's New York Stars before becoming the Pittsburgh Steelers' wide receivers coach in 1977.
In his distinguished football life, Moore has won four Super Bowls—two as the Steelers' wide receivers coach, one as the Indianapolis Colts' offensive coordinator in 2006, and one with Tampa Bay in 2020.
