Guardians sign RHP Tyler Beede to minor league contract

The Cleveland Guardians signed free-agent pitcher Tyler Beede, twice a first-round MLB draft pick, to a minor league contract Saturday with a non-roster invitation to spring training.

The right-hander, 30, spent parts of four seasons in the big leagues before pitching in 2023 for Japan's Yomiuri Giants, posting a 3.99 ERA in 30 appearances.
