LUKE LITTLER has triumphed in his very first world series event after beating legend Michael van Gerwen in the final of the Bahrain Darts Masters.

The 16-year-old prodigy defeated Nathan Aspinall, Gerwyn Price and then MVG en route to picking up the title.

And the Warrington ace only went and hit a NINE-DARTER earlier on in the night in his quarter-final win.
