The Jets' tumultuous 2023 season has seemingly stolen Garrett Wilson's joy
The New York Jets had a disastrous season, and Garrett Wilson didn’t hold back when recently asked about his year.
There isn’t much that went right for the Jets. After Aaron Rodgers went down with a season-ending injury, the team played musical chairs with the remaining quarterbacks, holding out hope that Rodgers would return.
Ultimately, he never did and there went any sort of remaining positivity. New York ended the season with a 7-10 record, far from the Super Bowl prediction that Rodgers and many others had.
During exit interviews on Monday, wide receiver Garrett Wilson, who finished the season with 95 receptions, over 1,000 yards and three touchdowns, was very blunt about how he felt.
"I hear that I had a good year, but it was the worst season of my life. Thank you, but that's the reality of it."

#Jets WR Garrett Wilson called this the "worst year of my life" during somber meeting after exit interviews.
Pretty damning assessment. #NYJ need to turn this around or they run risk they'll lose one of their bright spots. Players hold more power than ever before in NFL.… pic.twitter.com/Tgk4tTL6DZ
