You’ve probably heard a bunch about how there’s only two elite teams in the NFL and a bunch of other teams ranging from average to good, and I’m not going to say anything to dispel that narrative.

The Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers appear to be head and shoulders above the rest of the NFL, and their Super Bowl odds reflect the belief that one of those two teams will end up hoisting the Lombardi trophy. Still, that doesn’t mean they can’t be beaten by the right team at the right time under the right circumstances. That’s why they play the games, right?
