Yankees add RHP Cody Poteet on one-year deal

The New York Yankees on Friday signed right-hander Cody Poteet to a one-year contract for 2024.

Poteet, 29, has 19 games of major league experience, all with the Miami Marlins in 2021 and 2022.

He has a 2-4 record with a 4.45 ERA, 53 strikeouts and 27 walks in 58 2/3 innings, including nine starts.

After Tommy John surgery, Poteet made just one minor league appearance in 202
