One Tottenham youngster continues to be the envy of clubs around the world, and he is now getting the media limelight he deserves on the back of his impressive performances on loan this season.

Tottenham’s season so far has had both highs and lows, and most Spurs fans will agree the squad has a few holes needing to be filled.

However, many of them will be excited about what the future holds, given the top-class young talent who are just on the edge of the first team.

Several Tottenham youngsters are impressing on loan, including Mikey Moore, who is now coming in for plenty of praise after a difficult start to his loan spell at Rangers.

However, another Spurs teenager appears to be on a whole different level, quickly emerging as one of the best young talents across world football.

Journalists are in awe of Tottenham youngster Luka Vuskovic

Vuskovic has won two back-to-back Bundesliga Rookie of the Month awards since moving to Hamburg, with the centre-back surprising everyone with how well he is doing in the German top-flight.

In fact, the Tottenham youngsters’ defensive metrics this season are comparable to the best centre-backs in the Bundesliga, with the 18-year-old showing maturity beyond his years.

Vuskovic was the subject of discussion on The Done Deal podcast this week, where they are in awe of what he is doing this season.

Podcast host Fabian Knottnerus said: “What could an 18-year-old centre-back, making his debut in a top-five league with a newly promoted team, have done better?

“Anyone who, at just 18 years old, stabilises HSV’s leaky defence – which it truly was at the start of the season – carries the team on his shoulders, and is now named ‘Rookie of the Month’ for the second time in a row, absolutely deserves a 10/10 rating from me.”

Co-host Lennart Gens then added: “It’s truly incredible how this young man is playing.”

Vuskovic shines on the international stage for Croatia

The centre-back has been fast-tracked to the senior national side and could not have made a better start to his international career.

Vuskvoic delivered a dominant display in his full Croatia debut in the World Cup qualifiers against the Faroe Islands on Saturday, with the Tottenham man winning 11 duels and proving an impassable wall at the back.

The Spurs teenager has been tipped to be a starter for Croatia in next summer’s World Cup, and one certainly would not put that beyond him, given the pace at which he is developing.
