Tottenham will be desperate to secure a win over Aston Villa in North London, but Troy Deeney believes there is one thing that makes predicting this clash slightly complicated.
Tottenham Hotspur would be aiming to get one over Unai Emery’s side when Aston Villa come visiting the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Tottenham’s home form has left much to be desired, with only a single win on home soil this term in the league.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa’s resurgence, which has seen them go undefeated in their last four, will leave them coming into this clash full of confidence and rhythm.

Ahead of the Sunday afternoon clash, Troy Deeney has attempted to give his prediction between the two, and even though he has tipped Tottenham to be victors, he admits it would not be an easy win for Thomas Frank’s side.
Speaking on his TikTok account, Deeney explained that while Tottenham have shown improvement under Frank, Aston Villa’s recent form cannot be overlooked. However, he believes Ollie Watkins’ injury troubles could tilt the balance slightly in Spurs’ favour.
Deeney said: “Very tricky game. Spurs, inconsistent, they have had a decent start, but have been inconsistent. Aston Villa, again, had an awful start, but it got to the end of the international break with some good results both in the Premier League and in Europe.
“Spurs have got a bit of a backbone now under Thomas Frank. I fancy them to just get over the line. That injury to Ollie Watkins is going to be a bit of a problem as well for Aston Villa.
“So, I am going to go for a 2-1 Spurs victory.”

Deeney is not the only one to have predicted a closely fought contest between the two sides; Chris Sutton also expects a tight encounter between Tottenham and Aston Villa.
Frank, however, would not mind how a win comes about, as three points are most important at this stage of the season.
The fixture against Villa is the first of a hectic run of games that is set to see Tottenham play seven matches in the space of 22 days, making it crucial for Frank to get this run off to a winning start regardless of the style of play.
