Tottenham Hotspur find out who they will play in the Carabao Cup fourth round
Tottenham Hotspur have found out who they will face in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
The draw took place on Wednesday night, following the conclusion of the fixture between Port Vale and Arsenal.
Tottenham’s 3-0 win over Doncaster Rovers secured their place in the hat for the draw, where Thomas Frank’s side were allocated ball number fourteen.
Two former Tottenham players were involved in the draw with Jamie Redknapp and Michael Brown both responsible for drawing the teams out of the hat.
Tottenham will play Newcastle United in Carabao Cup fourth round
Tottenham have been drawn against Newcastle United in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup, with the tie scheduled to be played away at St James’ Park.
Fixtures are set for the week starting Monday October 27, with most matches expected to be played on Tuesday, October 28 or Wednesday, October 29. Exact times will be confirmed after the draw.
Tottenham will face Everton away in the Premier League on the Sunday prior to the tie, and will welcome rivals Chelsea to North London just days after the cup match, which will certainly give Thomas Frank plenty of thought when it comes down to his team selection.
Spurs will be hoping to do better in the competition after they were knocked out in the semi-final in the 2024/25 campaign under Ange Postecoglou following a 4-0 second-leg defeat at Liverpool, having taken a 1-0 lead into the fixture.
Tottenham last won the Carabao Cup trophy back in 2008, following a 2-1 victory over Chelsea with Dimitar Berbatov and Jonathan Woodgate both on target.
