Lucas Moura urges Tottenham to sign Brazilian winger this summer, but it isn’t Savinho

0

Tottenham fan favourite Lucas Moura is excited to see one of his compatriots linked with a move to N17, and he admits that it would be a huge boost for the Lilywhites if they can get the player.

Most people would assume that Moura is talking about Savinho, who has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham over the last few days.

However, he is not the only Brazilian rumoured to be on Spurs’ radar. A few weeks ago, it was alleged by several sources in Spain that Tottenham want to replace Heung-min Son with Real Madrid star Rodrygo.

In fact, Marca even claimed a week and a half ago that the Lilywhites had already launched an opening offer for Rodrygo, but nothing concrete materialised on the back of that report.

Lucas Moura would love to see Rodrygo at Tottenham

Based on the reports over the last few days, it appears that Tottenham are focused on signing other attackers right now, but Moura admits that he was excited to hear that his former club want the Real Madrid star.

The 33-year-old claimed that the move would work for both parties, revealing that Rodrygo wants to play for a top Premier League side.

When asked about the speculation linking the 24-year-old with a move to Tottenham, Moura said (Sport Witness): “I’ve heard about that rumour; I don’t know if it’s true or not. Rodrygo’s arrival would be wonderful for Tottenham, and he’d certainly like to play in the Premier League for a team that, as I said, has a fantastic structure.

“A team that’s getting stronger and growing to compete in Europe. It would be good for both sides, but it won’t be easy for Rodrygo to leave Real Madrid, given the interest from other clubs.”

Tottenham can end Arsenal’s Rodrygo dream

Various sources are now reporting that Tottenham are currently focused on landing Savinho and Eberechi Eze, which suggests that they have abandoned their pursuit of the Real Madrid man, at least for the time being.

However, Spurs can end Arsenal’s dream of landing Rodrygo if they complete the signing of Savinho.

This is because it has been alleged that Man City will turn their attention to the Los Blancos star if Savinho departs the club this summer.
