Tottenham set to make second approach for transfer target who will cost Daniel Levy more than £50m

0

Tottenham Hotspur are expected to make another attempt to land Savinho after Manchester City informed the North London club of their valuation of the winger.

It is not hard to understand why Spurs want the Brazilian, with Savinho’s numbers from last season dwarfing those of the Tottenham wingers.

However, the Lilywhites have found out over the last couple of days that a deal for the 21-year-old will not be straightforward after Man City turned down Spurs’ £43m offer for Savinho.

It has been claimed by some sources that Tottenham are expected to return with an improved offer for Savinho, and a new report has now backed up that claim.

Man City tell Tottenham how much they want for Savinho

This update comes from The Daily Mail, who say that Tottenham are set to test Man City’s resolve to hold onto the Brazil international.

Tottenham are keen to add the 21-year-old to Thomas Frank’s attack and have not given up on the deal despite their approach being knocked back by Pep Guardiola’s men.

The report claims that City will only be entertaining offers of more than £50m for Savinho, who they signed from Troyes for £31m last summer on the back of his outstanding loan spell at Girona.

It does not appear as if Tottenham are put off by City’s asking price as the outlet says that the Lilywhites ‘will go again’ for Savinho, with the North Londoners keen on landing the player.

Tottenham can hand Arsenal a huge blow by landing Savinho

The Mail back up what we have heard from other sources by stating that City have set their sights on Real Madrid star Rodrygo as a replacement for the Spurs target.

By landing Savinho, Tottenham could ruin Arsenal’s transfer plans, as Rodrygo has reportedly been identified as a ‘dream signing’ by Mikel Arteta’s side.

Spurs fans will be hoping that the club can pull off this sensational transfer, but given how this transfer window has gone so far, they would not be getting carried away until Savinho is signed, sealed and delivered.
