Fabrizio Romano reveals Eberechi Eze’s stance on potential Tottenham transfer

0

Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Tottenham’s pursuit of Eberechi Eze and revealed the Crystal Palace star’s feelings over a move to N17.

Spurs fans have plenty to get excited about this morning as Tottenham’s move for Eberechi Eze appears to have been resuscitated.

Tottenham insider Paul O’Keefe has now confirmed that talks are ongoing between Spurs and Crystal Palace over a deal for Eze.

The situation appears to be developing fast, and Fabrizio Romano himself has now become the latest to report on the matter, revealing where the Lilywhites’ pursuit of the 27-year-old stands at the moment.

Eberechi Eze is keen on a move to Tottenham

Romano has taken to social media to reveal that Spurs’ interest in Eze is independent of their pursuit of Manchester City star Savinho.

He explains that Heung-min Son’s exit and James Maddison’s injury mean that Thomas Frank’s men are trying to sign both players before the end of the transfer window.

Consequently, Romano states that the Eagles star is ‘keen’ on the move to Spurs, but adds that the deal depends on Palace’s asking price being met.

Boost for Spurs as Arsenal hesitate to make Eze move

Until yesterday, most sources seemed to believe that Arsenal were the favourites to beat Tottenham to Eze.

However, earlier this morning, Spurs Web relayed a report from Dean Jones on TEAMtalk, who claimed that Arsenal are hesitating to make an offer for Eze as they are not sure if they need to spend big on a number ten.

Jones explained that this had opened the door to Tottenham, who have been in talks with Palace over the last week, and now know exactly what kind of offer it would take to land the England international.
