How Savinho would fit into Tottenham’s wage bill as Man City talks continue

0

Tottenham are stepping up their pursuit of Manchester City winger Savinho this summer, and as negotiations progress, the Brazilian’s wage packet at the Etihad has now come to light.

It is no secret that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Manchester City winger Savinho in this transfer window, with the club aiming to strengthen their attack ahead of a demanding 2025/26 campaign.

Spurs are preparing for a busy season that will see them compete in the UEFA Champions League, the Premier League, the FA Cup, and the Carabao Cup, so the need for depth and quality in key areas is paramount.

Negotiations between Manchester City and Tottenham are said to be ongoing, with reports indicating that Savinho is open to swapping Manchester for north London in the coming weeks.

Savinho’s current wages revealed as Tottenham hold talks with Man City

With talks continuing over a potential deal for Savinho, we have looked into the Brazilian’s current wages at Manchester City.

According to Capology, Savinho is on a reported £40,000 per week at the Etihad, which equates to annual earnings of £2,080,000.

Tottenham have lost Heung-min Son this summer and will be keen to secure a capable replacement. The Korean winger had been Spurs’ highest-paid player, earning £190,000 per week.

Should Tottenham push through with a move for the City forward, they would not need to drastically adjust their wage structure to accommodate him, as his salary would fit comfortably within their existing framework.

How much Tottenham may have to pay for Savinho

Reports that Savinho is open to joining Tottenham will come as a significant boost to Thomas Frank’s side, with the club now needing to agree on a transfer fee with the former Premier League champions.

Manchester City are understood to be reluctant to part with one of their brightest young talents, but could be tempted to cash in if the right offer arrives, and negotiations over a fee are believed to be ongoing between the two clubs.

A figure in the region of £43.3 million is being discussed for Savinho, and Pep Guardiola is reportedly not planning to block the move should the player decide to leave.
