Thomas Frank reveals if Tottenham will sign a replacement for Heung-min Son
Thomas Frank has now spoken about replacing Heung-min Son’s goals and has shed light on whether Tottenham will look to add another forward to their squad.
During the start of Tottenham’s pre-season tour to Asia, Frank hinted that Tottenham are not done adding to their forward line this summer.
One would imagine that adding firepower to their attack has become an even bigger priority for Spurs after the exit of Heung-min Son.
In fact, some sources have claimed that Daniel Levy wants to replace Son with a marquee forward this summer and that the Lilywhites are prepared to break the bank to do so.
Thomas Frank says Tottenham will only act if they find the right option
It was reported by Football.London’s Alasdair Gold earlier this week that Frank has taken a real liking to Wilson Odobert and believes that the Frenchman can fill Son’s shoes.
The Tottenham head coach has now insisted that the Lilywhites will only sign a forward if the right kind of player becomes available.
When asked if Tottenham need to sign a top-class forward to replace Heung-min Son, the Dane has now told Football.London: “Sonny was a key player for 10 seasons. He has left the club. We have both good young players in Mathys [Tel] and Wilson [Odobert], and they are really promising and can perform.
“Brennan [Johnson] can also play that side. As I said, we are in the market. If we think we can find the right one, one who can improve the team, then he will be signed. If we can’t, then not.”
Who are the forwards on Tottenham’s radar?
A number of outlets have reported over the last few weeks that Spurs are eyeing an audacious move for Real Madrid star Rodrygo.
Over recent days, some sources have also said that Tottenham could make a move for AC Milan’s Rafael Leao, although signing the Portuguese international is not expected to be straightforward.
Spurs are also thought to be back in for Randal Kolo Munai, but the PSG star’s preference remains completing a permanent switch to Juventus.
