Tottenham player receives interest from MLS and Turkey but Saudi move could develop
Ben Jacobs has now said that Yves Bissouma’s rumoured move to the Middle East could gather steam as one club pushes to land the Tottenham midfielder.
It has been an open secret for a while that the Mali international is not in Thomas Frank’s plans, with reports widely indicating over the last month that Tottenham are trying to find a buyer for Bissouma.
Following the arrival of Joao Palhinha, some sources indicated that it was only a matter of time before Bissouma leaves, but nothing concrete seems to have materialised.
That is clearly not down to a lack of interest in the midfielder, with a whole host of clubs across Europe thought to be eyeing Bissouma, but it has now emerged that the player may actually leave the continent.
Yves Bissouma’s move from Tottenham to Saudi Arabia could gather pace
Last week, it emerged that Bissouma is on the wishlist of Al-Ahli, with the Saudi Pro League club said to be scouring the market for a defensive midfielder.
Now, journalist Ben Jacobs has said on The Last Word on Spurs that Bissouma’s move to Al Ahli ‘could develop’ over the coming days and weeks.
However, Jacobs made it clear that it is not just Saudi clubs who want the Tottenham Hotspur man, with the 28-year-old also attracting interest from Major League Soccer and Turkish sides.
What is Bissouma’s stance on his next destination?
It has been claimed that Bissouma only wants to leave Spurs for the right project, with the midfielder preferably wanting to remain in the Premier League.
He may get an opportunity to do so as West Ham are now thought to be plotting a move for Bissouma.
However, according to reports, Juventus’ interest in Bissouma has now cooled after the Bianconeri explored a move for the Tottenham man earlier this summer.
