Tottenham in talks over Alfie Devine loan with option-to-buy after £6m rumours
Alfie Devine is edging closer to a Tottenham exit, with reports now suggesting that the youngster is in advanced talks to join a Championship club in a loan-to-buy arrangement.
It was revealed yesterday that Tottenham Hotspur’s Alfie Devine is attracting interest from a host of clubs this summer, after Tottenham allowed the youngster to work on securing a loan move.
Clubs in the Eredivisie and the Championship are the sides showing the most interest in Devine, who Tottenham are reported to be open to selling for £6 million.
The midfielder is no stranger to a loan spell, having spent last season out at Belgian side Westerlo, where he scored six goals in 32 appearances.
Tottenham midfielder Alfie Devine in talks with Preston over loan-to-buy move
GIVEMESPORT have now provided an update on Devine’s loan situation. The publication has revealed that the midfielder is in advanced talks to join Preston North End on loan.
The proposed deal is reported to include an option to buy for the Championship side, allowing Preston to secure Devine permanently should he thrive at Deepdale.
It was reported that Devine was also attracting interest from Millwall a few days ago, with the second division side said to be eyeing a permanent move for the 21-year-old, but it seems as though links on that front have gone cold.
Spurs academy graduate Devine could leave permanently
Devine burst onto the scene when he became Tottenham’s youngest ever player and goalscorer, netting in an FA Cup tie against Marine at just 16 years old.
The midfielder, however, has struggled to gain competitive minutes with the Tottenham senior squad, as he has only featured twice for the senior side in his career so far.
Tottenham fans are also not against the club selling Devine permanently, with several naming asking prices ranging from £6 million to £9 million as what they deem acceptable.
