Kevin Danso reveals which Tottenham player is ‘really good’ at long throws
Kevin Danso has now shed light on which Tottenham player has been performing the best in the long-throw auditions during pre-season.
Ange Postecoglou came under criticism for the way Tottenham defend set-pieces, but that is an area where many expect to see the Lilywhites improve this season.
Brentford excelled in both attacking and defending set-pieces under Thomas Frank, and it is clear that it is an area that the Dane has focused on during pre-season.
Through a leaked photo of the training schedule at Hotspur Way, we know that Frank had a long-throw audition at Tottenham to find out which of his players has the fiercest throw.

Frank has said that the long-throw is a weapon he wants Spurs to have in their repertoire, but he refused to reveal details on which of his players had the longest throws.
Danso has now revealed that he performed quite well in the tests and named one other Tottenham defender who was ‘really good’ at long throws.
When asked about how the long-throw audition went, the Austrian told Football.London: “I’ve got a long throw. I’m not sure if I won, but I have had a long throw for as long as I can remember.
“At previous clubs, I have been taking throw-ins and stuff like that. It’s an additional secret weapon. Quite a few of the lads had long throws, though. Ben Davies was really good.”
Danso admits he has become tight with new Spurs signing
The centre-back admitted that he has hit it off with new Tottenham signing Mohammed Kudus since they both share a Ghanaian heritage.
The 26-year-old revealed that he has been doing his best to make the former West Ham man feel at home, just like many other players did for him when he arrived from Lens in January.
When asked about Kudus, Danso said: “Everybody has seen his quality in the Premier League in the last two seasons. Just amazing player, amazing guy. Really quiet, just keeps to himself. We have a good relationship.
“I have a Ghanaian background, and he plays for Ghana. So we get along quite well and sit next to each other most of the time. He is a great guy. Everybody has seen his quality already in the few games he has played at Spurs. An amazing player and guy.
“I’ve tried to help him settle as much as possible. When I got here, everybody made it really easy, and it’s the same with him. It’s always good to have somebody who speaks the same language as you, a bit more familiar with the current club you’re at, and that’s what I try to be. Make it easy for him as much as it was easy for me.”
