Mikey Moore makes big decision on Tottenham future but Thomas Frank has the final call
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank is expected to make a decisive call on Mikey Moore’s immediate future, as Champions League clubs circle for the highly-rated teenager.
Mikey Moore has been attracting loads of interest from sides across Europe this summer window following a breakthrough spell at Tottenham last campaign, where he played 19 times in the first team squad, the most in his career thus far.
Borussia Dortmund have shown interest in Moore, and it is understood that the German side are weighing up whether or not to put in a bid for the 17-year-old.
Juventus are also big admirers of Mikey Moore, and it is said that the Italian side want to use Damien Comolli’s links with Tottenham to lure Moore to Turin.
Thomas Frank to decide on Mikey Moore loan move at Tottenham
Football.London has now shared an update on the future of Mikey Moore this summer, following a host of interest from sides in the Champions League.
It is understood that Thomas Frank is set to decide on whether Mikey Moore heads out on loan from Tottenham this season. Moore himself wants week-in, week-out football this season. In fact, the Spurs youngster is said to be ‘keen for a loan move’ this season in order to aid his professional development.
Despite interest from clubs in his services, previous reports have also stated that Tottenham are looking to hand Moore a new contract this summer, in a bid to keep him at N17.
Moore may struggle to climb his way up the pecking order
Moore has already featured in Spurs’ first pre-season clash against Reading, playing the first 45 minutes as an inside forward from the left.
Tottenham have not loaned Moore out since he walked his way through the ranks at Hotspur Way, featuring for the first time in the Premier League at 16 years, nine months and three days, the youngest ever player to play for Spurs in the Premier League.
However, for the teenager to continue his development, a decision has to be made as to whether he can get enough gametime playing at Tottenham in his preferred position.
Right now, Spurs have James Maddison, Mohammed Kudus, and Dejan Kulusevski as options in the number ten role, with the likelihood of Morgan Gibbs-White joining the mix if his transfer situation is resolved.
On the wing, Tottenham have the likes of Mathys Tel, Wilson Odobert, Heung-min Son, Brennan Johnson, Kudus, Kulusevski and more.
This only leaves question marks over whether Moore would be handed enough minutes this season at Tottenham under Thomas Frank.
