Jack Wilshere makes ‘crazy’ prediction about Tottenham relegation in 2026

0

Jack Wilshere was asked to give his most outlandish prediction for the upcoming Premier League season, and the former Arsenal man chose to make it about Tottenham.

It is perhaps a little too early to make predictions about the 2025-26 season, as we do not know what each team’s squad will look like at the start of the campaign.

If reports over recent days are to be believed, Tottenham are expected to back Thomas Frank with big funds this summer as the North London club undertakes a major squad rebuild.

Frank has a difficult start to life at Spurs, who face some extremely difficult fixtures at the start of the campaign, and one pundit has now written off the Dane’s chances at N17 even before he gets started.

Jack Wilshere expects Tottenham to be even worse than last season

The Sun asked several pundits to make a series of early predictions regarding the 2025-26 season, including a ‘crazy’ prediction which will be frowned upon by most.

Predictably, Jack Wilshere’s prediction involved Arsenal doing exceptionally well and Tottenham Hotspur struggling, with the former England star suggesting that the Lilywhites will only win five games throughout the league campaign.

When asked for his “crazy prediction for next season”, Wilshere told The Sun’s TikTok channel: “Arsenal win the Champions League, Tottenham win five matches.”

Daniel Levy has big ambitions for the Thomas Frank era

Daniel Levy has often been accused of lacking the necessary ambition to compete for silverware, with many feeling that the Tottenham chairman is happy as long as the club qualify for the Champions League.

However, addressing the supporters earlier this week, Levy remarked that Spurs’ ambition is to win the Premier League and Champions League, explaining that it was one of the reasons why the club decided to make a managerial change this summer.

However, Tottenham fans will want to see the 63-year-old put his money where his mouth is and give Frank the tools to go head-to-head against the biggest heavyweights in the Premier League and across Europe.
