Tottenham reject loan offer for 21-year-old, a permanent sale is preferred

0

Tottenham Hotspur have foiled an attempt by a club to sign one of their young guns on loan, and the Lilywhites have made it clear the conditions under which they will let the player leave this summer.

While there has been a lot said and written about the potential incomings at Tottenham this summer under Thomas Frank, there are also expected to be a few exits from the club as the Dane puts his imprint on the squad.

Frank reportedly wants to add more firepower to his forward line, and that means that some of the Spurs forwards may be sacrificed.

It has been reported that Richarlison could be on his way out of Tottenham this summer, but another South American striker could also follow the Brazilian out of the door.

Tottenham turn down loan offer for Alejo Veliz

Alejo Veliz has not fared well since his move to Europe two years ago, with the Tottenham Hotspur forward struggling for regular game time during his loan spells at Sevilla and Espanyol.

The Lilywhites are thus faced with a big decision on the 21-year-old and it has emerged over recent days that Rosaria Central want to re-sign Veliz from Spurs.

However, journalist Uriel Iugt has now taken to social media to reveal that Rosaria’s attempts to land Veliz on loan have been foiled.

He claims that the Argentine club made a loan offer for the Tottenham man, which was turned down by the North London club, who made it clear that they would only entertain a permanent sale.

Veliz is also wanted by two other Argentine clubs

Rosaria are not the only ones chasing the forward, with reports indicating that Boca Juniors and River Plate are also keen on landing Veliz.

In fact, it has been alleged that both Boca and River have contacted the Spurs striker’s representatives to speak about a potential return to his home country.

Meanwhile, other sources have claimed that Veliz is not part of Tottenham’s plans for next season, which is why there is confidence among Primera Division clubs that a summer deal is very much possible.
