‘Here we go’ – Fabrizio Romano shares major update coming out of Tottenham Hotspur

0

Thomas Frank is set to replace Ange Postecoglou as the new Spurs head coach after Fabrizio Romano’s ‘here we go’ update.

Another managerial appointment has long been expected at Tottenham Hotspur this week, following the sacking of Ange Postecoglou after only two seasons.

Tottenham Hotspur have had several managers on their shortlist, including former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, Fulham manager Marco Silva, Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola, and Brentford head coach Thomas Frank.

Frank has long been considered the frontrunner to land the Spurs job, according to multiple reports, with talks between Thomas Frank and Daniel Levy said to have been progressing well.

Thomas Frank is on the verge of being confirmed as Tottenham head coach

Yesterday, it was revealed by The Athletic that Spurs had made official contact with Brentford and that a deal with Frank would be finalised in the next 48 hours.

Fabrizio Romano has now given a further update and has appended his famous ‘here we go’ to the Thomas Frank and Spurs deal.

According to the journalist, it is understood that an agreement is done with Thomas Frank on contract terms and staff, and that Brentford are set to release Frank for a fee in the region of £10m.

He tweeted: “Agreement done with the manager on contract terms and staff, Brentford set to release Frank for fee in the region of £10m. He’s the replacement for Ange Postecoglou.”

Thomas Frank to become 16th Tottenham manager under Daniel Levy

An official announcement by Tottenham Hotspur has not been made, but it has long been reported that a deadline for the Thomas Frank announcement has been set for this week by Spurs.

The Danish manager is now set to become the 16th manager under Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy in the last 24 years.

It certainly is a big jump for the former Brentford man, who is now managing a “big six club” for the first time in his career, after an impressive spell at Brentford, where he led them to two top-half finishes in the last three seasons.
