Fabio Paratici might soon have to end his relationship with Tottenham Hotspur as the Italian is being targeted for the sporting director role at a Champions League club.

It has almost been two years since Paratici resigned from his position as Tottenham’s managing director, but he still retains a big influence on the club’s transfer decisions.

It has been reported that Fabio Paratici has still been working as a consultant for Spurs.

The 52-year-old is regularly seen attending Tottenham’s home games even now and according to various reports, Paratici’s contacts within the game are continuing to come in handy for Spurs when they try to push through transfer deals.

However, he might soon have to cut ties with the North London club as another permanent opportunity could now open up for the Italian.

MilanPress are now reporting that AC Milan are planning a revolution both on and off the pitch as they aim to compete with the best clubs in Serie A and Europe.

They had a very productive January window, and they wish to build on that and continue being the protagonists in the transfer market.

The Rossoneri are thus on the lookout for a new sporting director and Paratici’s name is near the top of their club’s wishlist.

There is no suggestion from the outlet that conversations have already taken place or that his appointment is imminent, but if the 52-year-old does take up a role at the San Siro, it might be the end of his relationship with Spurs.

Why this development should not concern Spurs

One would imagine that Paratici’s influence is being slowly but surely phased out at N17, given that there is a new regime now in charge.

Johan Lange is the man calling the shots at the moment and the Dane seems to be on the same page as Postecoglou, which is why this development should not have much of an effect on Tottenham’s recruitment.

However, the one thing that could be a loss is Paratici’s contact book, which would have likely come in handy for the club during negotiations.
