Over the last few years, Tottenham Hotspur has had great teams and great players who have dawned the Lilywhite shirt of the north London club.

In recent times we have seen the likes of Harry Kane who was part of the 2019 UCL team and is the club’s record goal scorer.

We have also had Gareth Bale, a cult hero for the N17 club, whose iconic UEFA Champions League display against Inter Milan will forever be remembered.

If we are to go further down memory lane, Spurs have had numerous other legendary players, the likes of Steve Perryman, Glenn Hoddle, Paul Gascoigne and Ledley King.

Victor Wanyama’s iconic moment for Spurs

The defensive midfielder himself has had some iconic moments for Spurs. His goal at Anfield on 4 February 2018, when he hit a thunderbolt from 25 yards that flew into the top corner in a 2-2 draw against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will forever remain in the hearts of Spurs fans.

The Kenyan International was also a part of a Tottenham team that finished second, third, fourth and then sixth in his four seasons.

His debut season for the Lilywhites was also impressive – he was a key component in the club’s best season in the Premier League, where they finished runners-up on 86 points in 2016/17.

In that campaign, he started 35 out of 38 games, missing just two, as Spurs were beaten just four times all season, and went unbeaten at White Hart Lane in the Premier League.
