Igor Paixao is quickly winning many admirers

Igor Paixao has been outstanding for Feyenoord since joining the Dutch club back in 2022. However, the pacy winger has taken his game to new heights this season and is winning a lot of admirers, particularly with his displays in the Champions League.

The Brazilian already has eight goals and 14 assists to his name across all competitions so far this campaign and is showing no signs of slowing down just yet, proving the difference between Milan and Feyenoord in the first leg of the Champions League knockout playoffs this week.

The winger scored the only goal of the game after three minutes, and he tore Kyle Walker to shreds in the England international’s European debut for the Rossoneri at De Kuip.

Tottenham one of four clubs keen on Igor Paixao

Calciomercato claim that Milan are ‘crazy’ about Paixao after seeing the way the threat he posed on Wednesday and the manner in which he tormented their defenders.

However, it is pointed out that Sergio Conceicao’s men will not have a free run at the winger as Roma have already asked about him while two other Premier League clubs also have their eye on the player.

Tottenham and Arsenal are named as the two English sides currently on Igor Paixao’s trail, with a four-way transfer battle thus emerging for the former Coritiba man.

How much will Paixao cost this summer?

The report suggests that since the Brazilian attacker’s list of admirers is growing, Feyenoord may sense an opportunity to make a sizable profit on the player.

The Dutch club signed the player for just €4.5m (£3.7m) back in 2022, but it is asserted that they will demand a fee of €30m-€35m (£25m-£29.1m) for him in the summer.

One would think that the asking price would not really represent much of a stumbling block for Spurs or Arsenal if they are really keen on signing Paixao.
