Many Spurs fans want to see Daniel Levy leave

While Levy has never been a very popular figure among the Tottenham fan base, the relationship between the supporters and the chairman appears to have reached an all-time low.

Many hold the 63-year-old responsible for the side’s disastrous campaign, with the Spurs supremo accused of putting profit before glory.

In many of Tottenham’s recent matches both home and away, a lot of supporters have been chanting for Levy and ENIC to depart, although there is no sign that a sale of the club is imminent.

Paul Scholes does not understand Daniel Levy criticism

Scholes has now said that he is at a loss as to why Levy receives so much flak, pointing out that he has run the business side of the club brilliantly during his stint at N17.

While the Man Utd legend acknowledged that on-pitch success has been lacking at Spurs, he claimed that he would be happy to have Levy in charge of proceedings at Old Trafford.

Scholes said on The Overlap: “What is Daniel Levy doing so badly? You’ve come a long way. Stadium, training ground, the business side of it… I know that needs to catch up on the pitch, but I don’t think it’s for the want of not trying. You know what? I wouldn’t mind Daniel Levy at our club now.”

Lack of trophies are a big black mark on Levy

Even Daniel Levy’s biggest critics will acknowledge that he has transformed the business side of the club and ensured that Tottenham will remain one of the wealthiest clubs in Europe for a long time by building sustainable revenue streams.

However, his decisions have not led to on-pitch success, with the club having won just one trophy in his over two decades in charge.

Many Tottenham fans feel that the lack of silverware is down to his decisions, with the Spurs supremo failing to back certain managers at the right moment.
