Rangers hope to charge Spurs 10 times what they paid for striker
Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on a Rangers striker ahead of the summer window, and the Scottish club are hoping to make a huge profit from his sale.
Tottenham eyeing further reinforcements upfront
Spurs managed to secure the services of one of the most highly rated forwards in Europe during the January window in the form of Mathys Tel.
However, the Lilywhites may need to enter the market again for a forward in the summer, with Richarlison‘s future at the North London club up in the air after what has been an extremely frustrating season for the Brazilian blighted by injuries.
It has now been reported that Tottenham may turn their attention to the Scottish Premier League to add to their attacking stocks, with one Rangers man on their radar.
Tottenham looking at Hamza Igamane from Rangers
This report comes from GiveMeSport, who say that Spurs have set their sights on Hamza Igamane, who has been on fire in front of goal since joining the Glasgow club from Moroccan side AS FAR last summer.
The 22-year-old has found the back of the net 13 times this season to go with his three assists, and amidst interest from both Tottenham and Everton, Rangers are looking to profit from his sale.
Despite signing the versatile forward for just £2.5m last summer, it is alleged that Rangers are hoping to get a fee of £25m from the player’s potential switch to England.
Tottenham will be looking for a player of a higher calibre
This speculation looks suspiciously like it has been fed to the press by Igamane‘s entourage or by Rangers themselves.
While Spurs will likely be in the market for a striker in the summer, the club would ideally want a higher-calibre talent than the Moroccan, whose goalscoring record is extremely modest prior to his switch to Scotland.
