Gabby Agbonlahor poked a joke at Tottenham’s expense after it emerged that Kendrick Lamar will be performing at Villa Park this summer, but the former Villa forward ended up with egg on his face.

Villa overcame Tottenham 2-1 on Sunday to book their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup, with the result coming as a huge blow to Ange Postecoglou‘s men.
Predictably, Villa fans have directed plenty of banter towards Tottenham. It is difficult to argue that they do not have the bragging rights at the moment, with their side on course to finish above the Lilywhites for a third season in a row.
Agbonlahor has now joined in on the banter, but the pundit only ended up making himself look silly.

It was confirmed this week that world-famous American rapper Kendrick Lamar, who headlined the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday, will perform at Villa Park this summer.
Agbonlahor took to social media to joke that Spurs wanted Lamar but he chose Villa instead, presumably poking fun at the fact that Villa reportedly beat the Lilywhites to Marcus Rahford’s signature.
However, the talkSPORT pundit failed to realise that Lamar is also set to perform at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer, with Spurs fans only too happy to inform him about that in the comments.
The gap between Spurs and Villa is not as big as it seems
There has been a lot said and written on social media by Tottenham fans about the gap between Villa and Spurs at the moment after the FA Cup loss.
However, one can argue that there is not much separating the two squads when Tottenham have all their players fit.
Financially, Villa are not in a great position, with their extremely high wage bill likely to continue posing a problem over the next few windows as they try to stay within PSR regulations.
Although things seem bleak at Tottenham at the moment, the club are in a very healthy financial position and are not as far away from competing against the best sides as they might seem.
