A video has emerged showing the reaction of the Spurs academy youngsters to Jamie Donley’s outstanding strike against Manchester City, with his former teammates at Hotspur Way left in awe.

For large parts of the game at Brisbane Road on Saturday, it looked like a huge upset was on, with Orient taking a 1-0 lead into the interval. Unfortunately, it was not to be as Man City scored twice in the second half to seal passage to the fifth round.
However, the biggest moment of the game was undoubtedly the League One side’s first-half goal, with on-loan Tottenham midfielder Jamie Donley chipping City goalkeeper Stefan Ortega from close to the halfway line.
The David Beckham-esque strike has garnered praise from many big names across football, including Pep Guardiola, who lavished praise on the Spurs academy graduate.

It turns out that the FA Cup clash between Orient and Man City was on the big screen in the Hotspur Way gym as the academy players were going through their session.
Academy coach Sam Cox, shared a video on social media on how Donley‘s Under-21 teammates reacted to watching the goal live, with many of the Spurs youngsters left in awe.

Donley showed he has a big-game temperament
Donley‘s Under-21 teammates have witnessed the midfielder score these types of audacious lobs on a few occasions in youth football.
However, to try that in such a high-profile game when the whole country is watching and to execute it that well shows that the 20-year-old thrives on the big stage.
The audaciousness to even attempt the striker is proof that Donley is an extremely confident young man who has a lot of belief in his own ability.
