Tottenham fans react to Kevin Danso’s debut – ‘Could be a huge player’
Despite Tottenham Hotspur’s 4-0 defeat in the Carabao Cup semi-final, Tottenham Hotspur fans seem to agree on one thing as they react to Kevin Danso’s debut.
Tottenham Hotspur miss out on yet another trophy
Thursday’s 4-0 defeat in the hands of Liverpool was a painful one as Tottenham Hotspur crashed out of the semi-final of the Carabao Cup, after getting so close to the final.
It was not a closely contested affair either as goals from Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szobozlai and Virgil Van Dijk ensured that the Lilywhites were well beaten.
A resurgence was never on the card for Tottenham as they failed to show any type of fighting spirit. However, a few of their players did stand out, one of them being Kevin Danso.

Bobbymaytum wasn’t just impressed with his display on the night, but also believes he will come good in the long-term. He said: “Honestly I thought he was really decent. Looks like he could be a huge player for us”
Tommy Pickles simply stated, “Top 3 performance out of 11.” Michael Szwaja was impressed about the fact that he did not pick up any injuries, he stated: “He didn’t leave injured, so it was a plus.”
While David F, acknowledge the fact, that the centre-back did his best given the time he had to prepare for the game, he said: “Did what he could considering the small amount of time he had. Decent start”
Kevin Danso’s Tottenham debut was not perfect
While some fans were delighted and chose to be optimistic about his debut, some other Spurs fans still were not convinced. One of them was Spursey101, he said: “Played against the best team in Europe with a non-existent midfield in front of him. Not judging after 1 game and 2 training sessions”
Regardless of whether you loved what you saw, or you are not ready to give a verdict just yet, one thing is certain, while watching the game not once did it look like Danso was the problem.
That says a lot about his debut. It was solid and tidy, especially after one game and two training sessions. However, the story of the night remains that Spurs conceded four and lost out on yet another shot at a trophy.
