Tottenham linked with a late move to sign Samuel Chukwueze

Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a chance to sign Samuel Chukwueze, but they could face a transfer battle for the player in the final hours of the window.

It is unclear which winger or forward Spurs will turn their attention to after failing in their pursuit to land Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel.

With less than two days left until the window slams shut, the Lilywhites are running out of time to add firepower, which the squad looks in desperate need of.

It has now emerged that the North London club have been offered a chance to sign a Milan wide-man, who is surplus to requirements at the San Siro.

The player in question is Milan’s Samuel Chukwueze, who has not been a regular in the Rossoneri’s starting eleven this season.

According to Calciomercato, the Serie A club are keen to offload the Nigerian before Monday’s transfer deadline and have offered the player to three Premier League sides.

Tottenham, Everton and Crystal Palace have all been informed by Milan of Chukwueze’s availability, but the report does not say if any of those clubs have expressed an intention to sign the player.

However, the outlet does add that Real Sociedad and Newcastle United have shown ‘concrete interest’ in the former Villarreal man.

No sign that Tottenham will move for Samuel Chukwueze

Milan are evidently keen to trim their squad before the deadline, which is why Spurs and other Premier League clubs are being linked with the likes of Chukwueze and Noah Okafor.

There is no suggestion that these players are anywhere close to the top of Spurs’ wishlist.

Ange Postecoglou has made it clear that the club will not be bringing bodies through the door for the sake of it and would only make moves for players who are deemed the right fit.
