Harry Redknapp predicts positive Tottenham vs Leicester City score
Former Tottenham manager, Harry Redknapp, feels Spurs should come away with all three points against Leicester City. With both managers under pressure, there is no room for error in this Premier League fixture.
No help is coming for Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham host Leicester in their first Premier League home game for three weeks.
Despite the transfer window being open since their last PL home game at the start of the month, Daniel Levy and Johan Lange have only managed to help the team by bringing in goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky. No outfield players have been signed.
After Spurs’ trip to Hoffenheim, Djed Spence, Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr remain doubts. Only Kinsky and Sergio Reguilon may return to help the squad in their league fixture.
Tottenham’s outfield players will simply have to dig deep once again and try their best to secure three points the team desperately need.
Harry Redknapp gives his prediction for Tottenham vs Leicester
Speaking to BetVictor, former Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has given his prediction for the match between Tottenham and Leicester.
Redknapp said: “Talk about a difficult few weeks for Tottenham, I just can’t believe how many games they lose. Defensively, this side are all over the place.
“Ange Postecoglou is under some serious pressure at the minute. I know they have injuries, but this isn’t good enough for those Spurs fans.
“Speaking of pressure, it’s not looking good for Leicester right now. I feel for Ruud van Nistelrooy, he’s come in and tried to change the playing style, but they just don’t have the players, and the fans are beginning to get really frustrated.
“Leicester might get a goal, but Spurs should win this. James Maddison will face his old side here and the lad could really do with a big performance, he’s just not been himself over the last couple of months.”
Prediction Tottenham 3-1 Leicester
James Maddison’s performances are a symptom of wider Tottenham issues
James Maddison‘s performances (as well as many other players in the squad) have come under recent criticism. However, with few players ahead of him in attack who are capable of retaining possession and few players behind him capable of finding him further up the pitch, his ability to influence matches has been affected.
There is of course more that he can do from game to game, however, the technical assurance he brings to Tottenham and his reading of the game make him an indisputable asset.
After a goal and assist against Hoffenheim in the Europa League, Maddison will want to continue this positive form against his former team.
