The Tottenham Hotspur team which will play Hoffenheim in the Europa League this evening has just been announced.
Hoffenheim vs Tottenham in the Europa League
Ange Postecoglou has taken his injury-stricken Tottenham squad to Germany with a bare bones side of established players.
The Australian is also unable to call upon the services of Djed Spence, Sergio Reguilon, Antonin Kinsky and Yang Min-Hyeok who are all ineligible to play in the group stages.
Fourteen players have remained back in London due to their respective injury issues which have plagued Tottenham’s inability to field a consistently strong side in recent months with Guglielmo Vicario, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Destiny Udogie, Yves Bissouma, Wilson Odobert, Brennan Johnson, Dominic Solanke and Timo Werner all ruled out.
Tottenham head into the fixture winless in three matches in the European competition following defeat in Galatasaray and draws with Roma and Rangers which saw them drop to ninth in the Europa League standings, one place outside the automatic qualification spots for the knockout stage.
