Tottenham receive boost over availability of player ahead of Liverpool Carabao Cup tie
A big update has emerged regarding Tottenham’s newest addition Antonin Kinsky, who may make his senior bow for Spurs sooner than expected.
Tottenham’s first January signing solves their goalkeeping woes
With Guglielmo Vicario out with an ankle injury and Fraser Forster contracting a bug that was making its way around the Tottenham squad, Ange Postecoglou was forced to hand a Premier League debut to Brandon Austin against Newcastle.
While the Spurs academy graduate stood up and delivered a mature display, the Tottenham boss might not want to rely on the 25-year-old for too many more matches, given his lack of experience at the senior level.
It turns out that he might not have to as a big update has now emerged regarding Kinsky, who officially completed his switch from Slavia Prague to Tottenham on Sunday.
Antonin Kinsky is available for Spurs selection vs Liverpool
The Independent have now reported that Antonin Kinsky can be part of the matchday squad for the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi final against Liverpool as the 21-year-old received his work permit on Monday.
The Czech goalkeeper is expected to train with the Spurs squad for the first time on Tuesday.
There has not been any update at the moment regarding Forster until now and whether he has recovered enough from his illness to feature against Liverpool.
If the experienced Englishman is not passed fit, Kinsky could be in line to make his debut in a high-profile semifinal, just three days on from signing for the club.
Tottenham welcome back two players to training
It is not just Kinsky’s signing that has boosted Tottenham but also the return of two injured players.
Spurs insider Paul O’Keefe has revealed that Richarlison and Mikey Moore have recovered from their hamstring injury and illness respectively and trained with the squad on Monday.
While neither player might be ready to go into the starting eleven against Liverpool, having them on the bench gives Postecoglou a lot more options that he has had over the past two months.
