However, Van de Ven did give a positive hint on social media on Monday, posting the caption “Back soon” on his Instagram stories. Ange Postecoglou then followed up by saying Spurs hope to see the centre-back return after the November international break.

Football Insider initially predicted that Van de Ven could spend four to six weeks on the sidelines and that his injury has pushed Spurs to accelerate their search for a centre-back ahead of January.

According to the outlet, Lens starlet Abdukodir Khusanov is admired by Tottenham, with the club now monitoring the 20-year-old’s situation closely.
