Video: Heung-min Son and Bergvall spotted back in training for Spurs
Tottenham Hotspur fans have been sweating over the fitness of Heung-min Son lately, but the latest video shared by the club’s social media account brings good news regarding the captain’s recovery from injury.
Sonny has been missing for weeks
Ange Postecoglou has not been able to call on his skipper for quite some time now, instead utilising Timo Werner and Mikey Moore on the left wing for the last three fixtures.
Heung-min Son had played every minute of every Premier League game this season, but was forced off in the Europa League opener against Qarabag on September 26.
He has since missed the league games against Manchester United and Brighton, plus the Europa League win over Ferencvaros with a hamstring injury.
Son even missed the recent international fixtures with South Korea, but it has all been worth it, as Postecoglou shared some exciting news on Son’s return from injury on Thursday. It is now thought both Son and Richarlison are in contention to play on Saturday against West Ham.
Son back at Hotspur Way
Now, in a clip shared by Tottenham’s social media account, Son was seen in training and in the gym at Hotspur Way.
Eagle-eyed viewers will have spotted the Spurs captain on the grass taking part in some passing and shooting drills, delivering balls across the box for his teammates.
Son and Richarlison are also seen shaking hands in the gym, stretching, and lifting weights. All of this bodes well for their potential return to the matchday squad at the weekend.
Bergvall is also back
As an added bonus, Lucas Bergvall is also seen in the clip, both on the exercise bike and on the grass dribbling a ball. The young Swede had pulled out of international duty earlier this week with a slight issue, but appears to be in good condition now.
