Injuries creeping in for Tottenham

Every team endures a spell where injuries can disrupt the flow of the season, and while Tottenham’s injury list so far has not been too bad, the club has been without key players like Heung-min Son and Richarlison for the last few weeks.

Dominic Solanke has obviously led the line for Ange Postecoglou‘s side in that time, while Timo Werner has predominantly taken Son’s spot on the left wing.

But, the return of both players would naturally be a huge lift, and give Postecoglou far more strength in depth for his matchday squads.

There have been promising signs this week, with both players spotted in a video of the Spurs squad in training, suggesting they are at least very close to being fully fit.

Sonny and Richy are back

Now, Postecoglou has given a fresh update on his injury list in his latest press conference (via Football.London), and it’s good news for Spurs fans.

He said: “Sonny is good and worked hard last two weeks. It’s been good for him the two weeks, he’s had a solid week and looking to get back out there.”

Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano shared further details from Postecoglou, confirming both Son and Richarlison are indeed ready to play. Postecoglou is quoted as saying, “Yes, they are both good to go.”

Lucas Bergvall bonus

If that wasn’t enough good news, Postecoglou also offered a small update on Lucas Bergvall, who had pulled out of international duty with Sweden due to injury earlier this week.

On the youngster, Postecoglou added: “Lucas Bergvall picked up a knock but trained this morning and there are no problems.”
