Mikey Moore’s stock continues to grow, with the winger’s latest solo effort for England’s Under-19s serving as further proof that he could well be a generational talent.
Excitement about Moore
It has been a long time since Spurs fans have been as excited by a young player coming through the ranks as they are about Moore at the moment.
The 17-year-old has looked completely unfazed when he has got first-team opportunities, showcasing his bravery by aggressively running at the opposition whenever he gets the ball.
The excitement is not just among the fans as well, with Ange Postecoglou admitting earlier this month that the teenager has ‘something special’ about him (The Standard).
Brilliant goal for Mikey Moore
Moore played a key hand as England’s Under-19 side emerged with a thumping 4-1 win over the Netherlands on Saturday.
The Tottenham youngster, who started on the bench and was introduced on 65 minutes, scored the goal of the game.
He picked up the ball in the middle of the park in stoppage time, turned and ran past several Dutch defenders with ease before producing a confident finish with his left foot.
Confidence coursing through his veins
The fact that Moore is even playing for England’s Under-19 side despite just recently turning 17 is impressive enough. To embarrass the defenders as badly as he did for this goal shows that the winger is in a different league than his peers.
On the back of his impressive first-team displays of late, Moore will now not have any doubts about the fact that he belongs at the highest level.
