Tottenham’s injury woes

Tottenham are currently nursing a couple of injuries in attack, with Wilson Odobert and Richarlison both sidelined.

There are also doubts about Heung-min Son’s fitness ahead of the trip to Old Trafford, although Ange Postecoglou has said that things are looking a little promising for the South Korean (Football.London).

The most concerning injury is undoubtedly Richarlison, with Postecoglou even remarking last week that the 27-year-old is a ‘fair way off’ from returning to training (Football.London).

Good news regarding the Brazilian

However, Spurs have now received some positive news regarding Richarlison, with the striker thought to have made progress.

Reporter Michael Bridge has revealed on Sky Sports News that the former Everton man is now back training out on the grass at the moment.

Bridge said: “There is potentially some early good news for Tottenham, it’s early days, but Richarlison is back out on the grass.

“Ange said to us last week please no questions on Richarlison, he is not being considered at the moment, he is injured. But that is potentially some good news for Spurs there.”

Richarlison running out of time

With Solanke now being the established first-choice striker and with Ange also using Son as a number nine semi-regularly, time is running out for Richarlison to salvage his Tottenham career.

If the forward does not regain fitness and play a few games over the next few months, Spurs may perhaps consider replacing him with a more reliable centre-forward in January.
