Tottenham have one of the best stadiums in the world

The move to the new stadium has certainly been a game-changer for Spurs in terms of revenue, with the 62,850-seater arena significantly boosting the club’s coffers.

It emerged earlier this month that Daniel Levy and co are setting their sights on the biggest game in the European football calendar.

This information was reported by Sportcal, who explained that the San Siro is expected to be dropped as the venue for the 2027 Champions League final, and they suggested that this could open the door for Spurs to host the match.

The publication added that as the most modern 60,000-plus seater stadium in Europe, Tottenham remain poised and ready to step up to hold the marquee event.

Tottenham want to host a Champions League Final

Wyness believes that hosting that one match alone would bring see the North London club earn a sizable profit.

Speaking about the possibility of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium hosting the 2027 Champions League final, he told Football Insider: “[They could earn] Something around between five and six million mark, which is very good for a night’s work.”

“Potentially more depending on what other fingers he has in pies around the stadium, but that’s where the fees would be in terms of potential share of revenue.

“UEFA are very hungry when they come to the year, splitting the revenue created around the Champions League. But for one night’s work, that’s not a bad sort of number to try and pick up.”

Apart from the revenue earned, the club’s brand would also get a significant boost by hosting the most watched game in the footballing calendar, which is why Levy and Co will jump on the chance to do so.
